These 1/4"-20 to Hot Shoe Adapters* are really some of the handiest camera/lighting/audio accessories around, and if you're a photographer or videographer you'll certainly want to keep a set in your gear bag, just for their on-set/on-location problem solving capabilities. Constructed primarily of cast metal (with a plastic tightening knob), these sturdy adapters can be mounted onto your Nasty Clamp's flex-arm -- or any other piece of equipment which has a standard 1/4"-20 tripod screw sticking out of it -- allowing hot shoe mountable gear to be attached quickly and safely.

One of the really great features that's been incorporated into this adapter is that the very middle section has a dropped "divot" or channel running through it. This helps to prevent the electrical contacts in a small strobe's hot shoe foot from shorting out on the metal.
*From a purely technical point of view, these adapters should be called "1/4-20 to COLD Shoe Adapters." In other words, they have no electrical contacts contained within, and so they are considered "cold." On the other hand -- from a real world point of view -- nobody ever goes out on a photo or video shoot and says: "Quick! Hand me a cold shoe adapter!"
